Follow-up from Lockdown message earlier today 1.12.2026
Dear TSD Community,
This is a follow-up to the message sent earlier today, and included below. I appreciate your patience and understanding while we got school back into operation, attended to students and staff, and explored the issue that initiated the lockdown.
Why did today's lockdown happen? In addition to the emergency hard-plunge buttons located on campus to initiate a lockdown, there is a redundant system which allows for a lockdown to be initiated via telephone. Normally, this requires someone to dial a specific phone number and follow a sequence of steps, including entering a special code, in order for the lockdown to be initiated. For some reason, that phone number was randomly and inadvertently called today, the the lockdown was initiated without the additional required sequencing. Based on the number that initiated the call, we are confident this was not intentional or malicious, but random. Our investigation from today has helped us identify how to prevent this from happening again, and we will implement protocols for periodic testing of this part of our system in the future in every effort to avoid a repeat of today's incident.
Thank you,
John Pandolfo

Lockdown 1.12.2026
A technical glitch initiated a lockdown of all TSD campus's within the last 30 minutes. While law enforcement was clearing the campuses, we identified that the cause of the lockdown message was indeed a tech glitch. The lockdown has been lifted and campus is back to normal operation. We will investigate what made the glitch occur and remedy that.
All students and staff responded extremely well, even with some students at lunch and others at recess. While it is unfortunate the lockdown happened, an occurrence like this in real time will make us even better prepared for any future situations..
Thank you,
John Pandolfo,
Superintendent
